| HOW TO ORDER A PORTRAIT. |
| Lead time. How long will it take? |
| Turn around time depends on how many pieces I am currently working on. Also, creating art is not an exact science. If I am not happy with how the portrait turns out, I will start it over. I will not sell any piece that I do not believe is my best work. Graphite: approximately 2 weeks from start to finish Colored pencil: approximately 3 to 4 weeks Watercolor: Anywhere from 1 month to 3 months depending on size and content. |
| HOW TO COMMISSION A PORTRAIT. |
1. Send an email to debra@artgirlportraits.com with details of which media
and the size of the portrait you wish to order.
2. Send me, via email, 3 to 5 clear, sharp, 5x7 or larger photos of your subject
or subjects. I will choose which photo will make the best portrait.
If you have a specific photo you want, send it to me and I will see if it is usable.
3. I will email a reply, if the reference photos are ok.
4. A 50% deposit (non-refundable) will be required before I begin work on your
portrait. I currently accept personal checks, money orders or certified checks.
5. When your artwork is finished, I will scan the portrait and send it via email
for your final approval. If you are not satisfied with the portrait, I will refund
your deposit.
6. Your portrait will be double-matted and shipped flat when final payment
is received.
7. If you wish to have your portrait framed, the price of framing will be added
to the cost.
